After months of hard work, we have finally completed our 'Make a Difference' challenge! We decided that we wanted to raise awareness of the Syrian refugee crisis in our community and carry out fundraising to support refugees. We planned and presented an assembly to the rest of the school; raised money with a dressing up day; produced poems and posters and organised a Spring fair. In total, we raised around £350, which we decided to donate to Shelterbox who send emergency supplies to refugees. These photos are from the celebration event at Durham University, where some of our Y6 pupils presented our project to over 200 people. We were extremely nervous but we performed very well and everyone loved our presentation!

I went to Durham University to do a performance and raise awareness of suffering refuges in Syria. We went and acted out and told them about what's happening in Syria.

I can't believe there are 5 pictures of me, but I did attend it so...I guess that's the reason why I'm in the pictures. I'm really proud that we did so well.
