We had the pleasure of attending a Chapel in Lydia Street to learn all about the Easter Journey. We were involved in drama and role play activities; what an amazing way to learn! We had a fabulous afternoon. Look at our photos below to see what we got up to. Can you tell which parts of the Easter story we were acting out?

Over the last term, we have been putting together our own scene for an RSC production with a cluster of schools from across the region. The children have done an excellent job of learning their lines and learning to use actions, intonation and expression.
Last week, they did us proud with a fantastic production; well done to you all!! Watch this space for future productions! We have been getting some basic first aid training from St John's Ambulance. We were taught how to treat both a conscious and unconscious casualty. After being shown the best practice, we tried all of the techniques with our partners.
We visited Hardwick Park to learn how to read and follow maps in order to find places and objects around the park. It was a fantastic venue with some beautiful sites. We began by undertaking some activities which required us to follow maps and plans and use directional language. We had good fun! We also had to work in teams in order to assemble a map of the park; this required excellent communication and team working. Some of us were fantastic team leaders! Next, we were involved in a short orienteering activity where we followed a map of the park. We had three teams competing against one another. The most effective team communicated well, checked the map regularly and ensured that no team members were left behind! Our final challenge was an activity across the entire park; it was a tough challenge, but we had good fun and worked up a great appetite for lunch! We saw some wonderful sights and some beautiful wildlife and nature! What a lovely day!
