On Tuesday, the whole school had our Sports Day, as part of National Sport Week. Each team captain was given a different country from the World Cup to research and we explained to the rest of our teams all about our countries. We had a fantastic day and enjoyed lots of activities, including long jump, javelin, shot put and different types of races. Some of our younger brothers and sisters even took part in a toddlers' race at the end of the day! Congratulations to the Ghana team who were the winners and a special well done goes to Kirsty and Declan from our class who led this team very well.
Today 16 of us took part in the Parkside cluster athletics festival at Peases West athletics track. We put 100% effort into each event and are very proud of ourselves. In most events, we finished in 2nd or 3rd place, even with some Y3s and Y4s from our team competing against Y6s from other schools. Huge congratulations go to Briony who was the champion of the girl's shot put, with an outstanding throw of 13 metres! Well done to everyone who took part! One day a giant egg fell onto the floor. The builders went to see what it was so they tried to rip it open. So they couldn’t rip it open, then they went to get some of their tools to open the egg. So they got their tools and they were trying to open the egg then they were going to have their lunch. Finally they opened the egg then they just found out that it was a cream egg. So when they found out it was cream egg they all said let’s eat it so they ate it all.
Today was our first music lesson of the term. We sang songs, played the chime bars and did some percussion activities.
