Today we had our KS2 Christmas party. Everyone had lots of fun playing party games, dancing and eating the party food. Thanks to all of the parents who sent in food for the party.
On Friday we took part in the national Christmas jumper day in support of Save the Children. Most children in our class and throughout school got involved and even members of staff wore their festive jumpers! We were really pleased to raise £56.30 for the charity, which will be matched by the government, meaning over £110 will go to support children who are less fortunate than us. Well done to everyone who took part!
Some of the SSOCrew are enjoying being sports leaders as part of Class 1's lunchtime club on Fridays. We were very pleased with the great effort of Class 1, especially the Y1 children. Together with Class 3, we have been working very hard to prepare for our Christmas production - Mr Humbug Sees the Light! Here are some photos from our dress rehearsal. Come along to watch on Thursday 11th Decemver at 1:30pm! Our PE lessons have continued to go well, with children working hard with their partners, as individuals and as part of the whole class. We have been working hard to develop our choreography skills and have thought of some creative ideas.
The children who attend the lunchtime club with the ladies from Lydia Street Methodist Church have been having a great time learning more about the Bible and completing craft activities. If you would like to join, then just come along to the library on Monday lunchtimes. |
