Next year we are going to aim for the silver award so we will be setting up a school games organising committee, developing links with local sports clubs, ensuring each class has 2 hours of PE per week and attending even more festivals and competitions. You can find out more about the sports marks on the Sainsbury's School Games website at http://yourschoolgames.com/your_school/sainsburys-school-games-mark .
We are very pleased to announce that our school has achieved the Sainsbury's School Games Bronze mark for 2013/2014. We met all of the criteria for the bronze award, which included having a school games day to celebrate the year's sporting activity, participating in level 1 and level 2 sporting competitions, involving students in leading sporting activity and having children regularly attending after school clubs. Well done to everyone who has attended an after school club, taken part in a sports competition or has been a referee/ organiser as you have all helped us to achieve this award!
