Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world’s greatest living explorer and adventurer, is taking part in the world’s most extreme foot race – the Marathon des Sables this April. He will be attempting to run 156 miles (251km) over just 6 days in the blistering heat of the Moroccan Sahara Desert aiming to raise £2.5 million for Marie Curie to help people living with terminal illnesses and their families.If he completes it he will be the oldest Briton, at 71 years old, to have completed the race.
