I remember in 1914 when shells crashed upon England, father had went out to defend against the murderous war. The Germans had turned our village into a small camp. We had been forced by the British soldiers to evacuate to another village or die in the village. Tragically we had to leave my father in the village and fend off the Germans. The rounds of their monstrous rifles hit every building in sight. We had been lucky enough to escape to another village but then we were trapped in a prison of guns and loud noises. When would it stop?
